MIKE’S IN WITH GOOLE

MIKE Carmody has taken over as manager of Northern Counties East Premier side Goole AFC.
Carmody had been in charge of Division One side Armthorpe Welfare, and will be bringing his assistant Alan Jackson with him.
The pair have replaced Leeds-based Mark Pitts and Simon Portrey who left Goole as the club cut operating costs in the wake of the pandemic.
Carmody said: “Goole AFC is very much in a similar position club wise to where Armthorpe Welfare was when I stepped into the role as manager and I believe we have the tools necessary for the challenge that awaits us.
