4 1

AFTER a scrappy start the game burst into life on 17 minutes when Marcus Carver was put through but fired straight at Peter Crook in the Boston goal.

It only took Carver seconds to make amends when an excellent through ball by Josh Hmami was despatched under the keeper's body by the in-form Carver whose golden scoring streak continues. If you're looking for your own potential golden streak head over to Ku Casino for a variety of games.

Charlie Munro went close to extending the home side's lead with a 25 yard effort that rattled the bar.

It wasn't all one way traffic with Joe Leesley twice going close for the visitors in a first half without too much goalmouth incident.

Southport increased the lead with Jordan Archer heading home from close range after Adam Anson headed on in the 54th minute.

The introduction of Fraser Preston and Jake Wright injected some life into the Boston team and their efforts were rewarded in the 72nd minute when after a frantic goalmouth scramble an excellent strike from Preston from the edge of the area pulled the score back to 2-1.

Southport bounced back with a triple substitution and were rampant in attack with goals in the 82nd and 89th minute securing Carver his hat-trick and with all the goals coming from close range, capping a classic striker's performance.
