ALFRETON keeper George Willis saved two penalties to earn a point.
Alfreton had a couple of early corners and free kicks, and went close on 15 minutes, when a header by Conor Branson flicked off the top of the Darlington crossbar, then Matt Rhead headed a Dayle Southwell corner narrowly over the top.
