Pollock power strike caps Darlo’s decisive dozen

DARLINGTON put a poor first half behind them to beat ten-man Boston United at Blackwell Meadows and move up to seventh place.
They did damage in a 12-minute burst spell inside the second half, scoring three times and inflicting more misery on bottom-of-the-table Boston, who had taken the lead before being reduced to ten men.
Scott Pollock’s penalty, awarded when ref Rich- ard Holmes spotted an infringement, was on 20 minutes and a ponderous Quakers failed to respond.
