A GOAL in each half was enough for Southport to seal three well-deserved points against Kidderminster Harriers.
Niall Watson and Marcus Carver were on target for the Sandgrounders as they buried any memories of last season’s 6-0 defeat at Aggborough.
Harriers should have taken the lead in the seventh minute when Ethan Freemantle threaded the perfect ball through to Yusifu Ceesay, but his effort was blocked by keeper Tony McMillan.
