AFTER a tense opening hour to this contest, where neither side was able to find a solution to a packed midfield, a route one ball from Chester keeper Harry Tyrer made an opening for the homesters’ leading scorer, Kurt Willoughby to add to his impressive goalscoring record. Neither side really created anything meaningful in the first period, with Chester’s only opportunity coming after 50 seconds, when Willoughby failed to connect properly with a cross from Kieran Coates.
