VETERAN striker Matt Rhead’s header keeps Alfreton Town in the thick of the play-off places.
After going on a strong seven game unbeaten run, Peterborough Sports suffered two defeats in the space of three days.
The early chances fell the way of Sports with Jordon Crawford latching onto a few incisive passes from Dan Jarvis in the midfield and player-boss Michael Gash meeting a few crosses but unfortunately turning them goalwards.
