SOUTH Shields made it two wins out of two at home as a Tom Broadbent wonder goal in the 68th minute helped the Mariners edge past in-form Scarborough Athletic.
The visitors came into the game after a last-minute midweek winner over Blyth Spartans and were searching for a third straight win.
