DESPITE difficult conditions and lack of goals, this was an entertaining encounter at promotion hopefuls at Meadow Park.
Wood started the brighter and had the first effort on goal on seven minutes when Charles Clayden fired over.
Then, six minutes later, a lovely move involving Clayden and Tom Whelan ended with Jon Benton shotting just wide. Clayden missed the target again soon after.
Torquay’s first effort came via Omar Mussa, who forced a good save from Wood keeper Nathan Ashmore.
But at the other end, less than a minute later...
