SECOND-half goals from Yusifu Ceesay and Tate Campbell cemented Hereford’s position in the play-off places.
The Bulls have now won seven times in their last eight outings. But Alfreton who had the better of the first-half action.
Sam Osborne cut in to shoot over and Lewis Salmon’s effort cleared the bar.
Hereford keeper Theo Richardson saved from Gerry McDonagh while Bulls defender Aaron Skinner did enough to prevent Osborne from getting in a shot.
