Bates puts Towners within sight of safety

ENFIELD TOWN took themselves a giant step closer to safety with a come-from-behind win at mid-table Chelmsford City.
The early stages were tense as the away side started the day just three points above the drop but the Clarets took the lead just before the half hour as a ball down the left was slid away by the visiting keeper Joe Wright but his clearance went straight to Kane Crichlow, who found City skipper Charlie Ruff and he finished past the retreating defenders.
