MERTHYR bounced back from defeat by Marine with a hugely impressive win.
Paul Michael’s men wasted no time asserting their dominance, with a pinpoint Lee Lucas ball releasing Ricardo Rees on goal in the fourth minute. With one touch, he took the ball past Callum Hawkins and with the next he slotted it into an empty net.
The Nash just couldn’t keep the ball, looking lost at sea for the majority of the first half. They were helpless to stop a Merthyr side whose passing play was patient and thoroughly organised.
