MATT’S FINISH PUTS A NICE GLOSS ON IT

TEN-MAN Macclesfield slipped to defeat at home to Marine.
While the Silkmen started well, tempers flared when Josh Kay was shown a straight red for a late challenge on Leigh Whelan on 20 minutes.
Marine’s momentum began to increase with the man advantage. Terry Bondo left fly, firing just beyond Dearnley’s far post from an acute angle.
Bondo did then turn the ball home from a deep cross almost against the run of play, but his celebrations were halted by the offside flag just before the break.
