JACK BAINBRIDGE doubled up to hand Chester a needed win.
Chester opened the scoring when Iwan Murray’s left-wing cross was finished at close range, at the second attempt, by captain Bainbridge.
Despite the endeavours of both sides, few clear-cut chances were fashioned in the remainder of the first half, as the game became littered with free-kicks.
