AARON MARTIN’S strike from the spot gave Worksop Town all three points on Boxing Day against Alfreton Town at the Windsor Foodservice Stadium.
The first chance fell to the visitors as midfielder George Cantrill drifted past the defence before seeing his strike deflected in.
Jordan Burrow had the next chance as he looped a header off target with three minutes to go in the opening period.
Burrow had another chance after the break as he looked to shoot early, but his shot was blocked by an Alfreton defender.
