TWO quick second-half goals helped Merthyr Town see off Oxford City.
Despite the hosts having a bright start, the visitors took the lead on five minutes as a ball fell to Aneurin Livermore, whose shot was deflected past Jamie Pardington.
Livermore ought to have doubled his side’s advantage, however he got under his effort which went flying over the bar. City looked bright on the counter, without really causing the Martyrs defence.
