ST ALBANS City made it five wins from their opening five league games with a victory against Poole Town.
The visitors started the game well and dominated large periods of possession as Charlie Walker and Zane Banton both had efforts blocked.
The Dolphins had their first sight of goal in the 32nd minute when a stray ball bounced into the path of Steve Devlin, who marched into space before hitting an effort that failed to trouble Dean Snedker.
