TRURO CITY’S impressive form continued as they swept aside promotion-chasing Chelmsford.
The Clarets could have been ahead inside the opening five minutes as Scott Fenwick’s shot took a deflection to wrongfoot goalkeeper Harvey Rivers, but the ball went wide of the post.
And the visitors did not have to wait long before they were handed the lead. A deep cross from the right seemed an easy claim for shotstopper Nathan McDonald but the City keeper fumbled the delivery, allowing Tom Richards to stab home from close range.
