RARE AWAY WIN FOR ROCKS AS CITY SLUMP

ON a day when the club’s sale to the Cornish Pirates rugby club was announced, Truro were deservedly beaten by an East Thurrock side who came into the game with the league’s worst away record.
Goals by Rickie Hayles, Ben Marlow and Amos Nasha gave the third-from-bottom Essex visitors only their second win on the road this season and put them a point off safety.
But defeat for an outmuscled Truro left them a worrying five points above the drop zone.
