HAVANT and Waterlooville produced their best opening-day performance for many years, creating loads of chances to leave beat bogey side Slough well beaten.
Both sides enjoyed decent early chances, Edon Pruti for Slough and Paul Rooney for the home side but it took a wonder strike and seriously early contender for goal of the season from Jake McCarthy to break the deadlock.
