Concord Rangers appoint Rob Small as new manager

Bowers &

The National League South Beachboys announced on Monday they had parted company with Chris Search.

Last season they reached the FA Cup first round proper for the first time in club history and ran Lincoln City close.

Small stepped down in the summer after eight years and now returns to the dug-out with Step 2 outfit Concord.

Small told the club’s website: “I’m extremely grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity and I will do everything in my power to repay that trust.

“In football you can’t promise outcomes and that is why the game is so beautiful. What I can promise is to give you everything I’ve got to bring success during my time here.

“It’s an honour to follow in the footsteps of so many successful managers and it’s now up to me to make sure that so many people’s hard work to get to step two, and stay here, isn’t lost. I can’t wait to meet everyone and get to work.”
