JOSH JACKMAN and Johnny Goddard scored in either half to secure all three points for Slough.
Town wasted no time in opening the scoring, with Jackman finding time and space at the back post to fire low and hard past Lucas Covolan into the bottom left corner.
The remainder of the first half was well controlled by Slough, with David Ogbonna continuing to cause all sorts of problems from out wide and the Rebels deserved their half-time lead.
