GUTSY CLARETS CLING ON

TEN-MAN Chelmsford City secured a hard-earned point as Worthing failed to convert possession into goals.
The hosts had much of the ball in the first half-hour but struggled to fashion clear chances.
Ipswich loanee Woody Williamson did well to palm away Jack Bates’ effort. The Clarets’ keeper was then wrong-footed by Sam Beard’s effort bounced wide.
Chelmsford took the lead with their only shot of the half when Jordan Greenidge blasted past Worthing keeper Chris Haigh from a tight angle.
