A MIDFIELD battle was bookended by action as Farnborough and Bath cancelled one another out.
Farnborough’s FA Cup hero Teddy Collis having scored with the final touch of last week’s game at Westbury scored with his first touch of this one, firing the ball into the top-left corner from Mason Bloomfield’s excellent pass.
For the rest of the first half both teams seemed intent on hoisting the ball high in the air that held-up or ran-on unpredictably leaving little action of note to view.
