DEFENCES were on top but there was plenty to keep the spectator interested, the home side shading the first half’s proceedings via possession and invention.
Both teams matched each other in formations from the off, although Dagenham & Redbridge’s back three was far wider spread than Farnborough’s, allowing them to spend the first half patiently spreading play wide and looking patiently for balls into the channels.
