FULL-BACK Darien Dowrich became an unlikely hero as Hemel Hempstead Town made up for Monday’s late defeat to Chelmsford with a 96th-minute winner of their own.
The opening stages of the game saw chances at both ends as captain Kyle Ajayi and Isiah Noel-Williams failed to make their chances count while efforts from the Angels failed to trouble Michael Johnson in the Hemel goal.
At the half-hour Tonbridge almost took the lead but Kyran Wiltshire made a crucial block.
