Geofrey Okonkwo is ‘s first summer signing having arrived from .

The centre-back won promotion from Pitching In last season, where his efforts saw him claim the Supporters’ Player of the Year award.

He’s also represented the likes of , , , Staines Town and Greenwich Borough.

Manager Robbie Simpson told the official Chelmsford City website:

“Bowers had a fantastic season, getting promoted and he was an integral part of that and a real leader of that back line.

“We know a few people at Bowers who have recommended him throughout the season and again in this off season.

“We have done a bit more due diligence, watched him with as many clips as we could get and we feel like his is someone that can really progress his game with us.”
