Adam Hinshelwood admitted he had received other offers after parting company with York City before making a sensational return to Worthing.
The 41-year-old is back at the Sussex Transport Community Stadium after 18 months in the National League with the Minstermen, replacing the man who succeeded him in the Rebels hotseat, Chris Agutter.
While Agutter took the vacant job at Sutton United last week, his predecessor Steve Morison’s No.2 Jon Meeney has left the U’s to make his own West Sussex comeback alongside Hinshelwood.
