BROMSGROVE Sporting recorded their first home win of the season, edging out fellow promotion hopefuls AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Will Shorrock opened the scoring for Sporting 12 minutes in, before Demetri Brown doubled the lead two minutes before half-tim.
Sporting’s Akos Onodi saved a Joel Gyasi penalty in the 71st minute but Diamonds did pull one back in the final moments as Lorrell Phillips-Smith slotted home into the bottom corner.
