WESTON-SUPER-MARE scored early in each half and relied on solid defence to rebuff everything Hendon threw at them to pick up three valuable points.
After two minutes, Weston launched a concerted attack.
Debutant goalkeeper Kyle Forster made a fine block from one shot, but the rebound struck Tafari Moore as he attempted to block the next attempt.
The referee ruled that the ball struck his arm which was close to his body and awarded a penalty which Dayle Grubb converted without fuss.
