AS OTHER results fell in their favour, Bedford went top of the division after drawing 2-2in a game that they were fortunate not to lose.
The opening exchanges favoured the home side, but the Puritans held firm. The visitors took the lead with their first meaningful attack. A header from a corner was well saved by Jameson Horlick, but the ball bounced out of his hands and Claudio Dias pushed the loose ball over the line.
Horlick was in determined mood and made two more saves as United piled on the pressure.
