HANWELL prevailed over Basingstoke in this seven-goal thriller.
After an early chance for debutant Pele Kouisseoue, the visitors took the lead from the penalty spot after 14 minutes as Jordan Edward’s stepped up to convert following a controversial handball decision. Ben Cook spurned a golden chance to equalise for the home side but made amends on the half hour mark as he converted Robbie Gallagher’s cutback through a crowd on the goal line.
