RICARDO Rees scored twice in added time as 10-man Merthyr Town showed their hardiness to end Taunton Town’s unbeaten run.
After drawing four of their previous five matches, another stalemate seemed likely for the Martyrs until the division’s leading marksman held his nerve to convert a penalty after 93 minutes.
When he netted again from close range shortly afterwards, the hosts could breathe a sigh of relief.
They played most of the second half without Jack Evans following his dismissal as punishment for two yellow cards.
