MARLOW produced an impressive display, despite going down to defeat in this hard-fought game.
After picking up an impressive three points last week against Chertsey Town, the home side were looking for another good performance, although it was Merthyr who had the first chance in the fifth minute when a shot flew high and wide.
In the 18th minute, Josh Smith cut inside onto his right foot and curled the ball goalwards, but the attempt went just over the crossbar. Marlow dominated the first half but at the break the score remained level.
