GLOUCESTER CITY were too strong for Tiverton Town in a play-off vs relegation battle at TigerTurf Stadium on Friday night.
Watched by a season’s best 1,809 spectators, City took the lead inside six minutes, debutant Curtis Jemmett-Hudson glancing a header in off the far post.
Former Tiger Joe Parker saw a powerful drive cannon off the underside of the crossbar and bounce back into play, but he would not be denied after 23 minutes, his delightful shot flying into the top right corner.
