■ WITHAM Town’s run of three consecutive wins came to an end as Romford came out on top with a late goal in both halves.
Witham had a great chance to go ahead when A’maree Robinson-Jones was brought down in the penalty area in the 18th minute, but Ben Search’s penalty was saved by Brandon Bullman.
The goals against column in the league table has been a problem for Romford but they resisted Witham this time.
Romford gradually grew into the game and scored in the 45th minute through Christian Adi Gyamfi.
