■ MALDON won this top of the table clash but Grays went away disappointed.
They controlled most of the game, were denied what looked a clear penalty, hit the woodwork twice and had a shot which cannoned off the woodwork and dropped over the line ruled out.
In the end two goals from Charlee Hughes were the difference. Grays pulled a goal back in the last 15 minutes, laying siege to the home goal where Ben Macnamara made a number of vital saves.
