■ BASILDON went down to a single goal against Coggeshall. The hosts attacked straight from the kick-off and saw Tyrone Baker’s shot hit the post.
Bertie Brayley tried to lob Matt Cafer in the Coggeshall goal, while a crossshot from Coggeshall’s Sam Bantick was deflected wide.
At the other end, Nathan Fuma sent in a stinging shot, while George Cocklin hit a curling shot which landed on top of the net.
Connor Hammond headed wide and Fuma had a shot blocked. The deadlock was broken with only four minutes remaining.
