Pierson shines in the rain

AFTER torrential rain for the whole of the first half, this goalless match was abandoned at half-time.
Despite the difficult conditions due to a morning of incessant rain, both sets of players produced a good game while it lasted.
It was end to end with Matte Pierson in the Grinstead goal making a couple of good saves and some assured handling ensuring no goals.
The conditions meant flowing football wasn’t possible, but both sides created some good forward play without creating many clear openings.
