■ A 12TH-MINUTE strike from Ruben Carvalho helped ten-man Basildon defeat Hullbridge Sports. The strike will have disappointed the hosts, with Carvalho allowed space to cut in from the left and fire home into the far post.
Until a red card for Neville Revilino Nza in the 59th minute, Hullbridge looked unlikely to get back into the game. But against ten men they fancied their chances, which makes the
defeat all the more frustrating for the home side.
