City survive late Stafford fightback

LANCASTER CITY 2 STAFFORD RANGERS 1
LANCASTER got their season off to a winning start although they were made to work hard for the points by a determined Stafford side.
City were in total control at half time after a second-minute freekick from Rob Wilson and a Jack Armer effort handed them a twogoal lead.
But the visitors improved dramatically after the break and set up a thrilling finale when Evan Garnett halved the deficit five minutes from time.
