CORBY crashed to defeat against a hardworking Spalding side who just about deserved their victory.
The game’s first chance fell to the visitors, but Chris Assombalonga, although clean through, saw his shot well saved by Nemanja Grubor in goal.
However, they did take the lead following a corner. Gregg Smith’s header hit the bar, but the ball fell to Assombalonga, and he headed home from close range.
The hosts had seen little goalmouth action during the opening half-hour.
