ASHTON’S poor form continued as the visitors took the points with a goal just past the hour mark from Jordan Buckley.
Jordan Hulme, making his debut for the home side, had a shot deflected over on six minutes after Harry Spratt provided an overlapping cross.
Ben Hardcastle then put a free kick onto the roof the of the Wires’ net after Liam Tomsett was fouled.
A header from Buckley then hit an Ashton defender almost on the goal line.
At the other end, Adam Senior’s effort, following a corner, also needed clearing off...
