■ GOALS from Dean Thexton and Michael Sweet gave Shildon a comfortable victory over Bridlington Town to gain revenge for the 2-1 reverse at Queensgate in September.
Thexton blazed over the bar from a free-kick in the early stages but made no mistake in the 28th minute to give Shildon the lead.
Sweet then had a couple of chances to extend the home side’s advantage.
But he made the game safe for Shildon when he scored in the 66th minute.
The Seasiders had a chance to make a late rally but Andy Norfolk’s 90th-minute penalty was saved by the Shildon...
