■AN injury-time strike by new signing Dec Howe  was enough for Cleethorpes to get their season off to a winning start.
The striker appeared through a melee of players in the box to convert a Rio Molyneaux cushioned header to send the home faithful wild.
Town broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, when Jordon Cooke ghosted away from his marker to power an unstoppable effort into the net.
Consett, backed by a boisterous following from County Durham, levelled midway through the first period as Zak Atkinson converted from the penalty spot.
