■ ARTHUR LOMAX-JONES salvaged a point for Bootle with a late equaliser after Widnes had silenced the home crowd with two goals in the space of three minutes.
Bootle made the breakthrough when a long ball was sent over the top for Ben Hodkinson to chase and the former ‘White’ lobbed Cameron Terry.
Widnes levelled when Matty Rain made himself space in the area. Josh Ollerenshaw was equal to the shot, but the rebound was pounced upon by Will Jones.
