■ NEWCASTLE TOWN made it eight games without a win as they drew with Hanley Town in a thrilling game.  
It was Hanley who made the stronger start, with Reece Jones and Eden Bailey both going close.
However, it was Newcastle who took the lead when Callum Lovatt’s header went in off a post for his first goal of the season. Hanley pushed hard for an equaliser in the second half, but could not find a telling chance, with home goalkeeper Joe Slinn proving resolute.
