■ MOSSLEY came into the game with their play-off hopes hanging in the balance knowing only a win would keep them in with a chance. The first half saw half chances for both teams, but the game lacked any real quality. Mason Fawns tested Joel Torrance but the away keeper saved comfortably.
The second half saw Mossley pressing on the front foot, but again creating very few clear-cut chances. However, it was the visitors who opened the scoring in the 63rd minute when the keeper spilled the ball into the net.
