RANGERS END REBELS’ FAINT TOP FIVE HOPES

INJURIES caught up with FC United on Saturday as Stafford Rangers put an end to their faint hopes of making the playoffs this season.
The opening 45 minutes yielded few chances. The sides largely cancelled one another out, although the long throws into the box from Stafford midfielder Thomas Tonks were a regular threat.
The best chance of the half fell to United’s Keane Barugh on nine minutes. He brought the ball forward from midfield and drilled his shot from distance. Cameron Belford did well to save.
