WORKINGTON eventually found a way past Matlock Town to win a backand-forth affair 4-2and climb within a point of their defeated opponents in the Premier Division.
A high-scoring game saw the deadlock broken as early as the eighth minute when Kai Nugent found the back of the net and gave Workington the advantage.
It was a sign of things to come for the home side, who doubled their lead just three minutes later.
This time, it was Jordan Little who found himself wheeling away in celebration as the hosts took a commanding lead.
